A five-day immersion in the fairy-tale world of the East: ancient Petra, otherworldly landscapes and a night in a Bedouin camp in the Wadi Rum desert, as well as relaxation by the Red Sea and the Dead Sea.
Our trip began with a direct flight from Prague to Amman.
We spent our first day exploring the city: we strolled through the picturesque streets, visited the majestic citadel and the main mosque, and rounded off the day with a traditional dinner.
On the second day, we set off early for ancient Petra, where we spent the whole day on a long hike, before heading to the Wadi Rum desert to sit round a campfire and spend the night in an authentic Bedouin camp.
The third day was memorable for its exhilarating jeep tour of Wadi Rum, taking in dozens of locations, sandboarding, a traditional lunch in the middle of the desert and a sunset amidst Martian-like landscapes; by evening, we were already strolling through the night-time streets of Aqaba.
We spent the fourth day relaxing by the Red Sea — snorkelling on the coral reef, playing volleyball and chilling out on a private beach.
And on the final day, we went for a swim in the Dead Sea, tried out peloid therapy using the healing mud, and visited Madaba and Mount Nebo before our evening flight back to Prague.
It was the most exciting and action-packed trip ever!
